These are free typefaces. Chemist is a postscript font for Mac. All of the FreeFonts of the Television Age are Truetype format, which can be used on Mac or PC.

Chemist

A family of three fonts. Chemist Script and Chemist Rough are two fonts based on my father's calligraphic handwriting. Chemist Periodic is a series of unexpected words styled as blocks from the periodic table of elements.

Chemist was a conceptual/autobiographical project I completed and exhibited in 2001.

Free Fonts of the Television Age:

These are beginner typographic designs I completed for fun in 1997, and posted on the web. Each font was based on a hand-lettering source in fifties-era magazines. Today these persistent little gems, although not the pinnacle of typographic excellence, seem to show up in the strangest places. Good Girl can currently be seen on various food packaging at Trader Joe's stores, and was used in Blockbuster Video TV spots a few years back.
